Salary: $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week

Our Client BHAGAWATI ENTERPRISE PTY. LTD. T/A NEW SPICY GROCERY is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to join their team located in Mill Park Victoria, 3082. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, monitoring inventory and sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and implementing strategies to achieve business targets and profitability.

Tasks required include:

• Manage the daily operations of the grocery shop and ensure all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
• Recruit, train and supervise staff to ensure they perform their duties properly and provide good customer service.
• Prepare staff rosters, allocate daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
• Manage daily sales, cash transactions, invoices, payments and maintain accurate business records.
• Monitor stock levels, arrange product orders and ensure sufficient stock is available to meet customer demand.
• Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, place orders and organise timely deliveries.
• Set and review product prices by considering purchase costs, market prices and business requirements.
• Plan and manage product displays, shelf arrangements and store presentation to make products easily accessible to customers.
• Organise special offers, discounts and promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales.
• Prepare budgets, monitor business expenses and review the store’s financial performance.
• Assist customers with product enquiries, provide information, handle complaints and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Check product quality and expiry dates and take steps to minimise damaged, expired or wasted stock.
• Ensure the shop complies with food safety standards, workplace health and safety requirements and other relevant regulations.
• Oversee purchasing, merchandising and general store activities to improve business performance and profitability.

Qualification and Experience

• Relevant Diploma Qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
