Position: Residential Care Officer

Salary: $76,515 to $100,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Hours: 38 hours per week

Mode: Full-time

Location: Kingsgrove, NSW

Enable Nursing Agency is currently seeking a dedicated Residential Care Officer to work closely with our support and care workers in providing positive and meaningful experiences for each of our clients in NSW.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with care workers and our support coordination team to provide housing, nursing care, education, community involvement, and help with personal tasks
• Engaging with individuals, families, groups, and communities
• Promoting personal development, including health awareness, hygiene, self-growth, and self-esteem
• Overseeing and guiding care workers in delivering services to clients and patients
• Directing clients to additional support agencies as necessary
• Conducting client interviews to evaluate the extent and nature of their challenges
• Tracking clients’ progress and preparing reports
• Assessing clients’ needs and assisting them in planning and accessing education, training programs, and additional health, welfare, and support services
• Mentoring support workers, providing continuous training and ensuring a high standard of care.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification of AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a related field
• Ability to manage challenging and complex behaviour
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding the client’s information and history

Experience:

• 1 year’s minimum experience as a Residential Care Officer or in a related field.

Salary Offered: $76,515 – $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
