Position: Pressure Welder

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week

Mode: Full-time

Location: Mackay Qld 4740

All Metal Solutions is seeking an experienced, dedicated and qualified full time Pressure Welder to join their dynamic team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Incumbents normally hold a trade certificate with relevant experience

KEY DUTIES:

• Perform pressure welding using approved welding processes, including GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW and SMAW, as authorised by AS 3992
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel components as required.
• Fabricate, assemble and weld pipe spools, tees, elbows, branches, flanges, manifolds and other pressure-retaining component as per AS 4041.
• Carry out root runs, fill passes and cap passes in the required welding positions.
• Perform welding repairs in accordance with approved repair procedures and instructions.
• Complete preheating, interpass temperature control and post-weld heat treatment where specified by WPS.
• Follow approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Verify material identification, joint preparation, fit-up, alignment and dimensions before welding.
• Confirm welding consumables, material grades and joint requirements before commencing work.

QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all work completed satisfies all Q.A. requirements and customer specifications.
• Must be able to work within the scope of Q.A. Procedures
• Act on non-conformances issued.
• Sign Fabrication Checklist as verification of use and inspection

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all fabrication, processing procedures and methods are safe.
• Report faulty machinery or machinery breakdowns to the Workshop Manager.
• Abide by all company Safety Regulations at all times, and report any personnel not complying with these regulations to Safety Committee Members or Management.

A remuneration package between $75,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
