Position: Motor Mechanic

Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum + 12% superannuation

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: 30 Spanns Road, Beenleigh QLD 4207

GP One Stop Autos Pty Ltd is an automotive service and repair business located in Beenleigh, Queensland. We provide a range of mechanical services, including vehicle servicing, engine and transmission repairs, brake and clutch repairs, electrical diagnostics, steering and suspension work, tyre fitting and wheel alignment. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team and help deliver efficient, high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and problem-solving skills.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, clutches, steering and suspension systems for faults and wear.
• Plan repair tasks efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Repair, replace and refit faulty or worn vehicle components.
• Fit, rotate and balance tyres, identifying wheel alignment issues and uneven tyre wear.
• Test vehicles after repairs to ensure they are operating safely and correctly.
• Identify and report dangerous faults and recommend necessary repairs to customers.
• Follow workshop procedures and manufacturer requirements when performing repairs and warranty work.
• Keep up to date with technical information and manufacturer updates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and return vehicles in a clean condition.
• Communicate repair findings and additional maintenance requirements to the relevant team members.

Qualifications:

• Cert III, IV or higher in Light Vehicle Automotive Management & Diagnosis.
• Hold a current Australian Driver’s license.
• A/C License preferable but not essential, training provided to eligible team member.

Skills and Other Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs or in relevant role.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and electrical components.
• Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Practical skills in tyre fitting, rotation, balancing and identifying tyre wear.
• A strong understanding of workshop safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage repair tasks efficiently.
• The ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
• A commitment to quality workmanship, customer safety and reliable service.
