Position: Chef (Full-Time)

Carlos Cantina Blackburn is a vibrant, locally owned Tex-Mex restaurant renowned for its authentic Mexican flavours and lively atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Tex-Mex dishes, including sizzling fajitas, burritos,
  enchiladas, and nachos, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in accordance
  with health regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste through efficient stock
  control.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work
  environment.
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service hours, maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for prompt and friendly service.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 yar of experience as a chef
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.

A remuneration package is between $79,423 to $90,000 plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
