DP Computing are an established and expanding Australian IT services provider specialising in managed IT services, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, wireless networking and IT infrastructure solutions for businesses across Australia.

Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are recruiting multiple Network Support Specialists across Adelaide and Sydney to support our growing client base. The roles involve both hands-on IT infrastructure installation and network configuration, administration and support. Practical experience with Ubiquiti UniFi and Cisco networking technologies is particularly important. Experience supporting educational institutions will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including servers, network racks, routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Administer and support Ubiquiti UniFi and Cisco networks, including VLANs, gateways, wireless controllers and network security configurations.
• Monitor and optimise network performance, connectivity, bandwidth, reliability and security.
• Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, software patches, backups and preventative maintenance.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and access controls, and address vulnerabilities.
• Assess network requirements, troubleshoot faults and implement improvements, including Quality of Service (QoS).
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, equipment inventories, software licences and technical documentation.
• Develop procedures and prepare reports on network performance, security incidents and recommended improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors and service providers on system integration, equipment procurement, technical issues and service contracts.
• Research emerging networking technologies and assist with network planning and pilot projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in network administration, IT infrastructure or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking solutions is essential.
• Practical knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and infrastructure.
• Sound understanding of networking, wireless technologies, security and performance optimisation.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure within educational institutions is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with initiative to improve systems and procedures.
